About the Role
Within the Global Product organization, the Equity Product Manager will act as a resource for the Equity Product Team and their stakeholders by leading product management and development projects relating to the TRP equity suite of products. These efforts include coordination of Equity Product Team activities and meetings, governance and process controls, reporting and communication around key metrics, and representation of the team on various cross functional initiatives.
Role Summary
The Equity Product Manager will lead project management activities and coordinate resources across the Equity Product Team relating to the TRP equity suite of products. The role will support business management activities within the team and represent the team on cross functional projects and workstreams. This may include support on product changes, enhancements, launches, firm initiatives and potential new business requests. The role will contribute to the development of strategic plans and review of product health for individual strategies, products, channels, or vehicles and will support reporting and key metrics monitoring across the equity suite of products.
Responsibilities
- Conducts product development and enhancement activities relating to the US equity suite of products. Establishes relationships with operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, etc., to ensure requirements are met.
- Collaborates with product teams to identify the business case for new and existing firm offerings in the marketplace. Demonstrates knowledge of assigned products, the marketplace, client needs, and the operational/regulatory environment.
- Manages multiple projects, monitoring interdependencies and synergies where required, and enabling effective communication of critical milestones occurring.
- Monitors market changes and stakeholder needs; recommends adjustments to meet changing needs. Develops project goals, risks, resource allocation, and roles and responsibilities for assigned projects.
- Finds and transforms data into insightful analysis and then clearly and succinctly communicate those conclusions.
- Acts as point of contact for more advanced internal inquiries.
- May provide guidance to more junior associates. Provides high-level assistance and coverage to senior product managers and serves as their backup as needed. Escalates findings or issues to more senior staff.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and data analysis within daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Knowledge of T. Rowe Price equity investment strategies, markets, and competitive offerings
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), demonstrating the ability to influence people at various levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to gather meaningful data and synthesize it to represent a story
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, CoPilot, and PowerPoint, with ability to create/edit presentations and experience leveraging functions and data analysis tools
- Experience in third party investment data providers a plus (e.g. Morningstar Direct, eVestment)
- Professional curiosity, initiative, and creativity to identify and pursue new opportunities and problem resolutions
- Enthusiastic and optimistic with a drive to succeed and willingness to take managed risks
- Ability to manage time and shifting priorities effectively while in a challenging operating environment
