About this Position

As a member of the Individual Investor(II) Program and Change Management team, the Program Manager is a high-profile position that leads change efforts, business case development and strategic project management that enables growth of the business. The Individual Investor organization manages over $200B in client assets and serves 1million investors. In support of the growth strategy for II, this individual will support multiple facets of program development from business casing and early design to strategic program management of cross-functional teams in partnership with an executive sponsor. The position requires high engagement and experienced complex program/project management. The role is highly visible and will entail ongoing engagement with senior stakeholders.

Role Summary

This role serves as a senior leader responsible for shaping and delivering large, complex, and high-impact strategic initiatives within a dynamic financial services environment. This individual is accountable not only for end-to-end execution, but also for defining program strategy, developing compelling business cases, and guiding investment decisions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Partnering closely with senior executives and cross-functional leaders, the Program Manager translates strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and integrated delivery plans. This role requires a strong understanding of financial services and/or wealth management, along with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures, regulatory considerations, and evolving market dynamics.

The Program Manager leads matrixed teams and applies advanced program management practices to manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies. As a trusted advisor, this individual influences decision-making, resolves complex challenges, and ensures successful adoption of solutions that deliver sustainable value. The role also contributes to advancing program management capabilities, governance, and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex strategic programs, ensuring alignment to business objectives, regulatory considerations, and client outcomes within a financial services environment.
  • Shape program strategy by developing business cases, defining multi-year roadmaps, and recommending investment priorities informed by data, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop and manage integrated program plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, while coordinating across multiple workstreams and functions to ensure seamless execution.
  • Establish and lead program governance, engaging senior stakeholders and executives to drive alignment, enable effective decision-making, and maintain transparency on progress and risks.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, demonstrating sound judgment and adaptability in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.
  • Monitor program performance, including financials, KPIs, and adoption metrics, and drive continuous improvement to ensure delivery of expected value and quality outcomes.
  • Strengthen organizational capabilities by promoting best practices, coaching teams, and enhancing program management methodologies, tools, and standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Preferred experience in a consultant and/or strategic planning role
  • Experience in Financial Services/Wealth Management industry a plus
  • Large-scale Project Management experience
  • Experience in managing successful relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and vendors
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Proven ability to research, identify, interpret, and prioritize market needs
  • Experience in developing business cases and influencing change initiatives
  • Effective presentation and influencing skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Works well in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability of successfully dealing with ambiguity and creating partnerships across business areas
  • Proven ability to navigate across organizations and develop partnerships along with gaining buy-in for strategic proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of functional areas: Advisory, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Client Experience, Service and Shared Services
