Role Summary
The HR Technology team seeks a Technical Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between technology and business partners. In this role, you will define business requirements, develop application and process specifications, coordinate with delivery teams, and ensure priorities are driven by business value and aligned with strategic objectives.
You will contribute to technical documentation and materials, applying your foundational knowledge within your discipline to tackle a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities
- Identify and define business needs for new or enhanced products, services, and optimized processes.
- Actively engage throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business requirements are documented, understood, and achieved.
- Apply lean-agile principles to support organizational agility.
- Focus efforts on specific systems or business applications.
- Collaborate with domain experts on low to medium complexity initiatives to clarify issues and elicit business requirements.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Deliver well-defined work items.
- Use questions and proposals to clarify requirements when ambiguous.
- Lead discussions to explore multiple solutions, weighing trade-offs and recommending best approaches.
- May provide on-the-job training and support to new team members.
Business Knowledge:
- Apply understanding of the Financial Services and Asset Management industries.
- Ensure work aligns with team and departmental strategies.
- Translate business needs into technology solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Typically 1+ years of relevant experience (3+ years preferred).
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with all phases of the software development process.
- Proactively seek feedback and guidance to enhance technical skills.
- Identify system, process, and data impacts (upstream and downstream), proposing remediation or alternatives as needed.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of multiple technologies and applications.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Identify cross-team impacts and coordinate to manage dependencies and competing priorities.
Preferred:
- Completed degree or relevant coursework.
- Experience with Workday.
- Experience with Jira or Rally.
- Experience with PowerBI or similar BI dashboarding tools.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with system and/or user acceptance testing.
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.
