About this Position

As part of enterprise marketing at T. Rowe Price, Global Digital Solutions (GDS) serves as a global center of excellence focused on delivering “best-in-class” digital client experiences, marketing technology capabilities and platform enablement services.

The Director of Digital Product & Enablement will report to the Head of Global Digital Solutions and will lead a global team with oversight of enterprise digital strategy, product management and marketing technology enablement services.

This role will lead teams who manage global digital products and own several of our Marketing Technology platforms, which include but are not limited to: content management system (CMS) delivering web and mobile app experiences, marketing data management platform (DMP), email management platform, audience management platforms used for client and prospect audience segmentation and activation, voice of customer platforms, customer journey orchestration and analysis platforms, online testing and targeting platforms, digital tag management system digital analytics and session replay platforms, client preferences including cookie preference and identity management platforms.

The individual will be responsible for driving and developing Digital and MarTech platform strategy, and the execution of important initiatives that aim to drive commercial value to the firm. The individual will be required to manage and deliver in a hybrid centralized / decentralized environment working to advance digital capabilities for both B2C and B2B clients.

  

Role Summary

Directs cross-functional team of Digital and MarTech product owners, relationship and project managers and provides leadership through other subordinate managers. Executes business plans for enterprise digital programs/initiatives and oversees the development and execution of enterprise digital strategy. Accountable for global digital governance, budget, execution, and return on investment for marketing technology platforms and capabilities. Proactively manages stakeholders by aligning strategy and business objectives supporting the enterprise and business divisions. Leads the development of the global marketing technology enablement strategy.

Responsibilities

The Director of Digital Product & Enablement is responsible for digital experiences and programs that promote T. Rowe Price products and services and enable digital marketing capabilities. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, enterprise governance and commercial value story, including digital performance metrics in support of local and global marketing strategic objectives.

  • Oversee the development and management of enterprise digital and marketing technology enablement strategic plan and execution roadmap; sets appropriate OKRs aligned to the plan. Guides management team on setting an operational and governance framework for providing digital product and enablement services and ensures MarTech platforms are delivering required functionality for capability enablement and business self-serve.

  • Leads a cross-functional digital team responsible for product planning, delivery, success metrics, quality assurance testing and ongoing digital product enhancement. Lead “test and learn” and adoption of new/emerging capabilities.

  • Develops recommendations for firmwide approaches to client experience needs to increase consistency, team effectiveness, and client satisfaction based on extensive knowledge of industry best practices.

  • Oversee enterprise digital portfolio delivery, ensures portfolio is running efficiently, tracks portfolio finances, manages blockers and dependencies across initiatives and programs.

  • Ensures an integrated approach across global/local digital planning. Establishes effectiveness, proficiency, and productivity metrics for enablement tools and platforms; conducts regular comparisons of results with established metrics.

  • Establishes an integrated approach to MarTech enablement training development and delivery across all segments. Directs, monitors, and evaluates overall enablement program effectiveness.

  • Partners with business and technology leadership to recommend and implement firmwide solutions that will improve client experience, execute strategic initiatives, and achieve operational efficiency. Has strong relationships across business leadership.

  • Acts as an escalation point for highly complex problems or roadblocks that subordinate managers cannot solve. Leverages management relationships to remove roadblocks or resolve an impasse in decision-making. Assesses and addresses any systemic issues contributing to high-level barriers to progress. Participates in key steering and governance forums that align the needs of our business with enterprise digital capabilities.

  • Directs, motivates, and develops a global digital team, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to build and sustain a high-performing team. Manages productive, multidisciplinary teams and can lead effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 12+ years of total relevant work experience and 5+ years of management experience that includes managing an enterprise marketing technology stack.

  • Experience in Agile Development methodologies.

  • Ability to manage teams across the globe.

Preferred:

  • Experience in planning and leading large-scale strategic initiatives.

  • Proven experience organizing and directing multi-discipline teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, both in building teams and influencing company direction.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and ensure high quality deliverables with attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics.

  • Ability to quickly synthesize disparate data into a ‘position’ and craft messaging on what it means that can connect with a diverse audience of stakeholders.

  • Passion for global business and culture.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to identify opportunities to drive growth enabled by digital capabilities, and effectively manage change.

  • Proven success in organizing, leading, or influencing large teams of people.

  • Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Experience Cloud.

  • Experience with these systems (or equivalent): Qualtrics, Quantum, Marketo, Tableau, PowerBI.

  • Experience working with digital agencies for campaign reporting and optimization, agency and firm platform integrations. 

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or higher certification.
