Role Summary
Conducts activities to support the end-to-end procurement process from request to payment. Identifies goods/services requirements, executes purchase orders, approves payments, and processes related transactions, etc. Maintains procurement systems/databases on approved vendors, pricing guidelines, etc. Provides analytics and reporting and recommend process improvements as needed. Liaises with business stakeholders to ensure agreed-upon requirements for services and outcomes are being met. At higher levels, develops, monitors, and/or administers an effective global process including policies, procedures, and systems. Conducts activities to identify potential vendor-related risks and manages mitigation or remediation activities.
Responsibilities
- Manages activities to support the end-to-end procurement process in a variety of activities ensuring that agreed-upon requirements for services and outcomes are met. Assigned projects of complex and/or of sizable financial scope. Communicates with business stakeholders during and after the process. Responsible for third-party risk assessments and reporting results to business units in support of business unit sourcing decisions.
- Processes large or complex procurement transactions based on procurement guidelines. Escalates requests out of guidelines. Obtains and analyzes large amount of evidence during vendor due diligence process.
- Resolves identified process gaps within technology systems and follows through to resolution/completion. Assists in developing system requirements or development priorities to capture newly developed procedures.
- Conducts standard market analyses and develops request for proposal and request for information templates, pricing assessments, and total cost modeling. Compiles findings, develops recommendations, and presents to senior staff or management for consideration. Reviews findings compiled by more junior team members for accuracy and quality and recommends process improvements.
- Supports the implementation and dissemination of procurement policies, procedures, systems, or third-party engagement models.
- Point-of-contact for all procurement inquiries, provide guidance, training as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Experience with Coupa P2P
- Familiarity with contract language
