External Description:

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to enhance our enterprise data operational team which is responsible for delivering high quality data to our enterprise platforms. You will support and manage foundational data sets used by the Investment teams. You will be a hands-on analyst who understands the data from setup to maintenance to ensuring quality and remediating issues to achieve an optimally controlled data set.  You will directly support the production ADP tie in and FODB environment.

  • High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.  
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to build working relationships and work effectively in a global organization. 
  • Make independent/educated judgments regarding appropriate resolutions of data anomalies 
  • Must be able to independently “troubleshoot” functional and/or quantitative problems. 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 
  • Outstanding analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative. 
  • Technical Data tool skills (SQL database queries, Excel, python etc.)  
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well – oral and written
  • Experience writing, applying, and suggesting changes to procedures
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple systems effectively
  • Multitask, prioritize work collaboratively and independently
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and intellectually curious
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Should have operational experience of managing tickets and driving work in an agile Jira environment
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in supporting data sets and systems
  • Experience working with and analyzing data 

Preferred: 

  • Masters degree in computer science or related focus area (engineering etc)
  • Work experience in the investment industry and an understanding of its emerging challenges
  • General knowledge/awareness of macro financial markets and more specifically, the buy-side/asset management industry
