Regulatory & Business Conduct Internship Program

The T. Rowe Price 10-week Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while building skills and long-term career potential. You will have the opportunity to work with practitioners in the field who are forward-thinking, passionate people that will help you integrate what you learn in school with “real world” business initiatives. 

 

The program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities.  In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, Interns also gain exposure to associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking activities, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups, which advance diversity and inclusion efforts across the firm.   Business units within Regulatory and Business Conduct are responsible for identifying, measuring, and reporting on compliance matters, such as unsupervised trading, transaction processing failure, system weaknesses, lack of data integrity, content compliance, product development, and fraud. Takes corrective actions to resolve areas of noncompliance. Operational compliance staff work closely with other risk and compliance specialists internally to control overall risk exposureRegulatory and Business Conduct internship includes placement in the Transformation Office or Compliance groups.  Compliance is responsible for identifying, measuring, and reporting on compliance matters related to personal trading, transaction processing, system reliability and stability, data integrity, marketing communications compliance, product development, fraud prevention, and policy reviews. They also take corrective action to resolve areas of noncompliance. Placement could be in one, or many, of our North America Compliance teams, including, Broker- Dealer Compliance, Fraud and Financial Crimes, Global Communications Compliance, Code of Ethics Administration, and North America Compliance – Trading and Investments  The Transformation Office standardizes project, program and organizational change management practices across T. Rowe Price. This group partners with internal stakeholders to create a shared understanding of project management best practices and ensure the people and organizational aspects of change are addressed. Placement could be in Change Management, Strategic Execution Governance or Global Operations Excellence. 

 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Performing research and analysis, including interpreting large and complex data sets, identifying trends and exceptions and applying knowledge to prepare analyses and recommendations. 

  • Partnering with Compliance resources and internal clients to identify areas of compliance program improvement, problem resolution, and following up as needed. 

  • Assisting compliance team members in conducting testing of policies and procedures for an assigned business unit to determine if controls are sufficient.  

  • Assisting with continuous improvement activities like analyzing exceptions and supporting compliance reviews while seeking opportunities to increase process efficiency.  

  • Participating in risk assessment programs within assigned business areas, understanding the end-to-end process for process owners, exploring efficiency and effectiveness by identifying redundancies of efforts, control gaps and process improvement opportunities  

 

Requirements:  

 

  • Open to all majors but an interest in project management, risk management, and/or legal is preferred 

Required Qualifications 

  • Full time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of May 2026 

  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
